SEEK-ART CONCEPT, DESIGN, AND CONTENT DIRECTED BY MICHELE THURSZ

SEEK-ART.com -The symbolic facing E’s found in SEEK-ART represent a court where an action of exchange or conversation begins. The site comprises Portfolios, a Lab, Dialogs, My Collection, Events and News, and a shop. This company was developed with the philosophy that concepts are a fluid medium and art is an inspiration for the individual, society, and commercial industries. This concept argues for a comprehensive network: "All information is created equal." Seek Art, a manufacturing and production company, was to make a label much like a record label. This is an idea that I have been working with since founding Moving Image Gallery and the evolution of A Post Media Network.

A POST-MEDIA NETWORK 1.0

Concept and Directed by Michele Thursz, A Post-Media Network Post-media represents the merger of physical and virtual landscapes, and the network comprises artists, designers, philosophers, and a cross-section of cultural and lifestyle industries.

Post-media demonstrates the continuous evolution of the term and its uses. The network refers to collaboration, representation, and the marketable utilization of all media.

Moving Image Gallery ( MIG): This was a physical and virtual gallery located at Canal and Broadway in NYC, and www. MIG is an interface allowing for the realization of a perpetually changing set of interactions and transformations involving artists, institutions, and virtual and natural environments. In this complex of interactions, the institution of the "exhibition" acts as a necessary component by encapsulating the evolution of technology as it relates to art and modern societies.

Long Island City Rooftop painting by Molly Dilworth—made with reclaimed house paint mixed with a ceramic additive to improve the efficiency of the building envelope. The composition is based on quilt patterns used for hidden-in-plain-sight communication in the Underground Railroad. These patterns combine American, African, and Masonic symbols.

The Beijing Remix collection is a new media project in which S/N Coalition remixed the urban landscape of Beijing during RAZE 2012. The remixes are video/sound hybrids, which visually feature street art and sonically feature various neighborhoods, transportation systems, and markets. 15 remixes were installed back into the cityscape via QR-Codes

Totemobile is a robotic sculpture representing the culturally iconic Citroën DS automobile. It elaborates through various levels of abstraction until it reaches its final form: an organic 20-meter-tall totem pole. Upon reaching its full height, the work blooms with light in the form of multiple organically inspired inflatable sculptures, suggesting the final maturation of an enormous biological organism.

Sens Production and Agora's performance brought back to life the historic McCarren Park pool site, a 50,000-square-foot abandoned pool in Williamsburg. The site is now an active community component and serves youth and elderly recreation, education, and arts programming year-round.
